Mon, 8 February 2010 Can we say to Jesus, Here I am send me? In Sunday's Sacred Scriptures, we see three beautiful examples of people who were willing to set aside their hopes and dreams and allow God to uses them. Many times we waste energy on trying to make life what we think it should be OR we say "when this will change, then I will be able to live the life I want." St. Paul reminds us that all of life is a gift. We need to let go of past regrets and future worries and celebrate today for God is with us. Comments[0] |
Tue, 2 February 2010 A prophet is a person who speaks God's word to others. How well do we speak the word of God to others. Do we recognize the prophets of today and listen to them? Also in St. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians chapter 13, which was the second reading, he defines love. It is a beautiful description of God, for God is love. Comments[0] |
Mon, 25 January 2010 The Scriptures are God's Word. Not an old outdated word, but a living word. God is speaking to us, are we listening? The Word of God helps us to define our life and who we are. Comments[0] |
Fri, 22 January 2010 We are called to use our talents to better the world. Many times we are called to do simple task with love and God will do the rest. At the wedding feast in Cana, Most of the people did simple tasks which Jesus used to transform the water into wine. I quote Henri Nouwen's story about Trevor, a young man, who through simple gesture transforms a room full of people. The Story is taken from the book Can You Drink the Cup? by Henri Nouwen Comments[0] |
Thu, 14 January 2010 As we reflect upon Jesus' Baptism, we are called to examine our life and see if we are living our Baptismal Promises. Comments[0] |
Thu, 7 January 2010 We have to be like the star the wise men followed. We need to let the Light of Christ shine through us into our dark world. This light will become a beacon leading others to Christ, so they can experience His love, mercy, and peace. Comments[0] |
Mon, 28 December 2009 All family life is sacred, but might not be perfect. We should be thankful for our families and pray for them. We belong to many families. When we begin to see everyone as brothers and sisters, even those we do not like, the world will be transformed. Remember to eat with someone in the time of Jesus was an "intimate" act, you were letting the other person experience who you are. Jesus eat with people from every walk of life. He saw everyone as His family member. Comments[0] |

Mon, 14 December 2009 We are called to be busy about building the Kingdom of God. And to rejoice always because our Lord is so near. I told the story of a woman whon suffered greatly and it her suffering focused on the Lord and lived each day to the fullest. Comments[0] |
