On this the feast of Christ the King, we celebrate our King who loves us and forgives us. He is a king who wore the crown of thorns and was nailed to the cross for our redemption. We should do something this week to celebrate the love our King has for us.

We are not to fear the end times. We are to trust in God's loving plan and to live each day for Jesus so when He comes in glory we will hold our heads up high. Only God the Father, not even Jesus knows when this will happen. Let us live for Jesus, so when death or the Second Coming comes we will be ready.

In the Scriptures we hear about two marvelous widows who were willing to give everything to the Lord because they trusted that God would provide for them. We are called to follow their example.

Jesus as priest, who is comforter, prophet who is calling us to strive harder. Also an idea on how to always make the homily fit what is happening in your life.

Jesus turns the values of the world upside down. The servant is the greatest. WHY? Because God takes the servant role upon Himself throughout all of history. He still serves us by constantly blessing us. When we serve we are like Jesus. It is important that when we serve we are doing God's will and not just trying to please everybody.

The Scriptures this week help us focus on Jesus our true treasure. The Trinity offers us the fullness of life if we are willing to place them first in our life. They also remind us that all things are possible for God, even our salvation.

The Scriptures today talk about the sacredness of marriage which includes the famiy. For there to be a healthy marriage and faily there must be good communication. Good communication with God (prayer) and then good communication with each other. I strongly encourage spouses to prayer together. Also children should pray with their parents.

It is so easy to think with world vales. Jesus challenges us to begin to see the world in a whole new way. this happens when adopt His values and His way of thinking.

Because we are loved beyond our wildst dreams by Jesus, we are called to place Him First in our life so He can help hold our crazy lives together. We are also called to to take this love, that flows from our relationship with Christ, and spread it in our broken world.

Today's Gospel asks us to look deep into our hearts and see who Jesus is for us. The Gospel is Jesus, not just a moral code we need to live by. When we live the Gospel values we find life in Jesus and we help others find Jesus. the only way we can live Gospel values is by deepening our relation with Jesus. For life flows from this relation ship.

The Gospels are not out dated or old fashioned. They speak volumes to the problems of today and they are a guiding light through the darkness

During the homily I focus on the offertory and the Eucharistic prayer

Our faith needs to saturate all of our life. It can not be just one part of our life.

This great day of celebrating Jesus' gift of the Eucharist is also the 100th Anniversary celebration of Holy Trinity Parish in Dunkirk, New York. The Mass is longer and it is out standing in every way. God truly blessed us abundantly that day.

We are called to hear the word of God and follow His commandments

We are called to follow Jesus and serve Him which will make a better world for everyone.

God calls us His beloved child and to live in Christ.
